Wow! I know I'm not the only one who is
feeling the blur of December and wondering
how I will ever be ready for Christmas!
Already one week has passed,
and I haven't even shared this month's project for our
Across the Pond Sew Along.
Allow me to present Amanda's new pattern,
which she has chosen for us to create:
a placemat with matching napkin!
The name of the placemat is A Trio of Trees.
{Now, if you know The Patchsmith, you will not be
surprised in the least to know that she has developed
a new pattern with two variations!}
First up is the applique version...
If the "A" word scares you, you are not alone.
But Amanda's instructions and quick fuse techniques
will open up new worlds to you!
I'm so happy to see a resurgence in the popularity
of paper foundation piecing in the sewing and quilting world.
Here is The Patchsmith's paper-pieced Trio of Trees.
I would love to have time to make both versions.
However, if time runs out, these trees are not just for Christmas!
Imagine the possibilities...
I've got my Aneela Hoey box out,
and I can't wait to get started sewing mine!
Soon I'll be posting the winner of my Sew, Mama, Sew! prize for Giveaway Day!
{Hurry and enter if you haven't already.}
I am making my placemats right now!
ReplyDeleteThe mats are even cuter in person!!
